SCREENCOAT WHD KG.1
BLUE photopolymer/diazo screen printing photoemulsion with high resolution and definition.
This emulsion is suggested for applications with water based inks and plastisol for the textile screen printing industry.
This Blue photoemulsion show very high resolution and a really strong water and plastisol fastness in production with carousel machines. Grafco has developed this product for the textile screen printing long-run production to obtain the best definition and detail even in halftones and high definition printing. The Screencoat WHD allows the best results obtaining using it in combination with non-actinic yellow/orange fabrics.
Prepare the sensitizer for this emulsion adding 5o gr of distilled water to the special sensitizer powder DIAZO WHD. Stirr well and add this slurry to the Screencoat WHD - 1 kg pot. Stirr well again deeply and slowly for some minutes, then leave at rest for 1-2hours (better for an entire night) in order to allow the necessary deaeration.
The Screencoat WHD once sensitized, is stable if stored in a cold place (5-8°C) till 4 weeks.
We usually suggest to keep the mesh well cleaned and degreased (using combination of Stripcoat 110 and Deterstrip 110). Using a specific coating blade apply the sensitized emulsion slowly with a constant soft pressure on the both side of the screen. We usually suggest the following procedure:
› 2 coating on the front ( side of the screen which will be touch the object to print) of the screen - 2 coating in the back
› dry the emulsion with hot air 35°C, 10 min
› 1 coating on the front
› dry the emulsion with hot air 35°C, 20-30 min.
Here you can find some indicative time for the exposition using a UV halogen 5000 Watt lamp. We suggest a 25-30% time increasing for yellow/orange mesh.
